BSE Exam Prep Practical Exam Workshop 

In-Person Workshop

Cardiac Physiologists 

 This workshop aims to support Cardiac Physiologists preparing for the BSE practical examination.

The workshop will provide guidance for completing the logbook, case studies, videos and practical assessment.

Attendees will be required to submit a sample case study prior to attending the workshop and bring their logbook on the day for review.

Please note the following important instructions to attend the workshop.

• Ideally, you have completed the BSE written paper first

• Please describe where you are in your BSE accreditation process, (started / halfway through / nearly completed)  

• Please submit a Video Case of one of the following

• • Aortic Stenosis

  •  Mitral Stenosis

  • Aortic Incompetence

  •  Mitral Regurgitation or

  • Other Study or

  • Normal Study

As per BSE requirements, Video Case studies must be anonymised.

• Please bring your BSE Logbook for review.

• Please email Olivia professionaldeveloplmet@iicmp.ie specific question/topics to be addressed at the workshop.

• Please bring your own laptop to facilitate discussing your video case studies

 Please note: All interested Cardiac Physiologists employed in publicly funded hospitals are eligible to attend this workshop.  To attend this workshop, you must hold a recognised qualification in Clinical Measurement Physiology or equivalent as confirmed by the IICMP.
